The Commission is headed by the Chairperson. Below the Chairperson is the Vice Chairperson and five (5) Commissioners. (Refer to the appendix I for the Organizational Structure).
The Secretariat is headed by the Commission Secretary who is also the Controlling Officer. It has three (3) Sections namely;
Human Resource Management Services
The Section is responsible for processing of human resource management matters in order to enhance efficiency and accountability in the management of human resources in the Local Government Service.
This Section is headed by the Deputy Secretary, assisted by two Chief Human Resources Management Officers and two Senior Human Resource Management Officers.
Standards, Inspections and Appeals
This Section is responsible for setting standards, formulating guidelines on human resource management functions and monitoring the use of delegated human resource functions to ensure consistence in the management and development of human resource in the Local Government Service.
The Section is also responsible for receiving cases of complaints and appeals from the Local Government staff for consideration by the Commission in order to facilitate efficient and effective disposal of cases.
Th Section is headed by the Deputy Secretary, assisted by two Chief Human Resources Management Officers and two Senior Human Resource Management Officers.
The Section is responsible for providing human resource, logistical and administrative support services to the Commission. The Head-Corporate Services is in charge of this Section and is assisted by the Senior Planning and Information Officer, Senior Procurement and Supplies Officer , Accountant and an Administrative Officer.
